This Cherry Pie Bubble Up Casserole Is Everything You Could Ever Want In A Dessert

January 11, 2018

It's the worst feeling when you've got a crowd of hungry people waiting for a scrumptious dessert and you are stumped with what to make. Who wants to slave over an intricate cake at a time like this?

I know I sure don't! I'd much rather focus my time and energy on my guests and enjoy their company. No one wants to be secluded in the kitchen for the duration of a BBQ.

This cherry pie bubble up casserole is the easiest, most delicious dessert you'll ever put in your mouth, and your guests will go crazy for it! The best part is you can whip it up in no time. Dollop some ice cream on the side and you'll have a tasty treat that will satisfy a crowd.

It honestly is the simplest dessert recipe you'll ever come across. All you need is some canned biscuit dough, cherry pie filling, and a quick glaze. How amazing is that?!

If cherry isn't your preferred flavor, it can easily be substituted for another. It would be equally delicious if you replaced the cherry with blueberry, peach, rhubarb, or blackberry.

If a fruity dessert isn't what you're in the mood for, try chocolate or caramel, and throw in some almonds or pecans for a totally different twist! The options are limitless.

1 (16.3 oz.) can refrigerated jumbo biscuits
1 (21 oz.) can of cherry pie filling
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tbsp. milk

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray. Open a can of biscuits and cut each biscuit into fourths. Pour your pie filling into a large mixing bowl.

Pour your pie filling into a large mixing bowl. Add your cut-up biscuit pieces and stir together until each is well coated with the pie filling. Pour into your baking dish and spread out evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until thoroughly cooked.

While it is baking, in a small bowl mix together the milk and powdered sugar. After the dessert has cooled slightly, drizzle atop. Enjoy!
