Bringing Her Babies Into The World Would Surely Be Her Final Act In This Life...Unless They Helped Her In Time

September 13, 2018

Abandoning a dog is never okay. There are many other options available that are humane and give the pup a fighting chance at a new life. But there’s a special place in Hell for the monsters in our story. Not only did they abuse and abandon a sweet, innocent canine, but they also doomed her unborn pups to, if not death, at least a miserable life on the streets.

When rescuers found Cinnamon, she had obviously been injured at the hands of some poor excuse for a human being. She had puncture marks all over her body, and some of the sores were huge! But that’s not the worst of it.

She was also heavily pregnant and, by the looks of things, would be giving birth any minute.

As soon as they were able to gain her trust, rescuers rushed Cinnamon to the emergency animal hospital so her wounds could receive the medical care she so desperately needed. And they had to do it fast so she could be healthy before her pups arrived, which could be at any moment.

As soon as she was out of the hospital, she went home with foster dad, Sean Fitzpatrick.

A short 24 hours after Cinnamon was treated, she went into labor and after 15 hours of hard work, Cinnamon was the proud mother of four female and eight male puppies. That’s 12 puppies in all! Wow! Cinnamon was already showing what a supermom she was.

And are you ready for the adorable names her foster dad gave the 12 babies? Did you guess? What else could they be called other than Basil, Chili, Ginger, Jasmine, Lavender, Nutmeg, Paprika, Pepper, Saffron, Sage, Salt, and Wasabi! Perfect, Don’t you think?

Cinnamon and all her 'spicy' pups are doing well and are now waiting for forever homes of their own. We are so glad she was found and helped in time. To learn more about Cinnamon and her pups, watch the video, below.
