Country Music Star Dead at 46

February 12, 2018

On February 12, 2018, Daryle Singletary, one of the most cherished voices in today’s country music, has died. He was 46 years old.

Daryle passed away at home in Lebanon, Tennessee. He leaves behind his wife and four children: Jonah, Mercer, Nora, and Charlotte. The cause of death is still unclear.

Daryle showed no signs of health issues and in fact was playing live shows and touring as recently as Friday, February 9, 2018. On his last show, he played at The Rodeo Club in Dadeville, Alabama.

For years, Daryle has been creating music after his biggest inspirations, Ricky Skaggs, George Jones, and Keith Whitley. Daryle was best known for his songs, “Amen Kind of Love,” “Too Much Fun,” and “I Let Her Lie.”

On Monday, just moments after learning of his death, several country music legends took to Twitter to share their condolences, including Travis Tritt and Clay Walker.

Tweets and shoutouts have been going up all over social media since the tragic news was released.

Prayers go out to Daryle’s family and friends during this time of heartache. See one of his performances, below.
