Tim McGraw, an American country superstar, collapsed during a live concert in Dublin, Ireland.
Tim and country singer wife, Faith Hill, were on the final date of a three-day, three-city tour of the UK and Ireland, as part of the Country to Country festival. McGraw and Hill were co-headliners for the festival.
After so much travel and performance, it appeared that Tim’s body was finally slowing down. Only seconds after performing one of his recent hits, Tim walked off stage and fell to his knees while on his exit.
Fan’s continued cheering as they thought he was simply sitting down in humility as the crowd cheered. One fan shared "I thought he was taking in the applause while sitting down after singing Humble and Kind," he said. “But when a spotlight was switched on him, he was slumped on his knees on the left-hand side of the stage. The light was quickly turned off and you could see his crew helping him off - and the band ran over as well.”
The crowd waited with concern. Minutes later, Faith Hill entered the stage and shared that he would no longer be able to carry out the rest of the show. She shared "He's been super dehydrated. I apologize, but I made the decision that he cannot come back out on stage."
As the crowd began chanting, “We love Tim,” Faith began singing the classic hymn What A Friend We Have in Jesus. The crowd was surprisingly understanding and after the song, they were ushered out.
Faith has confirmed that Tim’s collapse was caused by dehydration and that he will be getting the rest and fluids he needs in order to regain his strength.
Our prayers go out to Tim during his the remainder of his tour.
