Beloved Singer Steps Out In Public For 1st Time Since Nearly Fatal Drug Overdose- Now, Millions Of Fans Are Hopeful For Miracles

September 24, 2018

On July 24th, 2018, the music world learned devastating news from one of the best vocalists in today’s music: Demi Lovato was being hospitalized for a drug overdose. Things did not look promising.

Demi, who has been an outspoken advocate for sobriety and overcoming addiction, was admitted Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She was just 26 years old. Demi was in the hospital for more than a week and was revealed to be suffering major “complications.”

Demi was fighting for her life while the world anxiously waited to hear whether or not she had survived each night. Several stars and friends of Demi took to social media where they shared their heartbreak for her relapse. Before her overdose, Demi had been transparent with the world that just weeks before her overdose, she relapsed after nearly six years of total sobriety. Now, fans couldn’t help but wonder if her fight would be over.

Just weeks before her overdose, Demi had fired her management team and sober coach. Demi’s call was far too close, and doctors and insiders say that its a miracle Demi is alive at all. Regardless of how she feels like she can overcome this on her own, Demi needs to let experts step in and trust that her management team and family have her best interest at heart.

On August 5th, Demi shared a heartfelt statement to her fans; she wrote: “I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well … I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten, and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting.”

After a month of critical hospitalization, Demi agreed to let her former team back into her life. She decided to enter into one of the most successful rehab facilities in the world. On August 23rd, nearly two months after she almost lost her life, Demi was photographed in public.

During her in-patient rehab experience, Demi took a day to get some fresh air where she enjoyed a cup of coffee outside and a conversation with a fan. Demi appeared to look healthy and alert, and most importantly- in good spirits. TMZ shared the photo and it quickly circulated through the Internet. Fans were thrilled to see her happy and casual.

Please continue praying for this young girl’s recovery. Drugs and alcohol can be so very destructive, and we pray that Demi will be removed from them once and for all.
