Determined Mom Finds A Way To Feed 30,000 People By Doing One Simple Thing
Lauren Puryear is one incredible woman! When she turned 29 she decided she wanted to feed 30,000 people by her 30th birthday.
She wanted to reach this goal through extreme couponing.
"After I couponed for 50 jars of Ragu sauce and 100 boxes of Barilla pasta all for FREE, I knew I was going to make a difference in the world," Lauren said.
She launched the organization For The Love of Others, which works to provide food and essentials to shelters and other human service programs.
Lauren was inspired by her grandma, who 'always taught us to help other people and to love other people...I know that she would want me to carry on her legacy.'
Grandma would sure be proud! Lauren's 30th birthday isn't until September, but she's already surpassed her goal of 30,000 people!
She's not stopping anytime soon and has already created another initiative, Push Past Poverty. The goal is to be able to educate those that are living at or below the poverty line, how to use resources, coupons, etc. to help improve their situations.
Lauren's work is simply amazing! She had an idea and ran with it. She's incredibly inspiring!
