According to google, Demodectic mange is a red, itchy skin infection that is caused by mites. The demodex mite lives on a particular host, so one form of demodex mite (demodexcanis) lives on dogs and another (demodex cati) on cats. Humans have their own form of demodex mite.Thankfully this is a treatable condition and the dogs are being treated and on the mend!

They have now both been placed into the forever homes that they have always deserved! According to the shelter, there is always a need for adoptive parents!

We hope for the best for these two sweet pups! Let us know your thoughts about this story on our Facebook page!
