Dr. Phil McGraw has become a name known in households across the globe. His riveting television show has intrigued many for years. Recently, the McGraw family has been in mourning over a devastating loss.
His beloved sister-in-law, Cindi Broaddus, passed away on February 19, just four days before her 69th birthday. She left behind three daughters, five grandchildren, one brother, and three sisters.
In 2001, Cindi was the victim of a heinous hate crime. While riding in the car, someone threw a jar of sulfuric acid off an overpass. The acid burned her so badly that she had a mere 30% chance of survival.
With strength and determination, Cindi was able to fight through the devastation and come out victoriously on the other side. After her accident, she made it her mission to spread the message of hope despite the odds faced against you.
Her sister, Robin McGraw, posted a beautiful tribute on Instagram: “We are all heartbroken and will miss her every day. She was our hero. You three all made her life a dream. She lived every day for her daughters, and you always made her the happiest woman ever! I will celebrate her and her strength and her unwavering support for me the rest of my life. I miss her dearly.”
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they mourn the loss of a sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.
