After what seems like an eternity, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have FINALLY revealed that they have given their newborn son a name! Fooling the bookmakers and many of us in the public, the Royal couple has given their baby boy a very regal and distinguished name.
The Prince, who is fifth in line to the throne, joined big brother Prince George and big sister Princess Charlotte when he entered the world on April 23. He was born at 11:01 AM and weighed eight pounds, seven ounces. The only stat we didn't know was his name. But now the wait is finally over!
Kensington Palace has delighted the world by announcing that the newborn Royal's name is Louis Arthur Charles, named after William's father, the Prince of Wales and great-grandfather Prince Philip's beloved uncle, Louis Mountbatten.
Mountbatten, the Duke of Edinburgh's beloved mentor was tragically killed in a terrorist bombing in 1979.
We wish the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge all the best as they move forward as a beautiful family of five.
Plans are reportedly underway for ceremonial celebrations that accompany Royal births.
Well done! And welcome, Prince Louis! We can’t wait to get to know you!
