The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are only days away from welcoming their third child and the anticipation of Baby #3 is at an all-time high. The Duke and Duchess announced that they were expecting another child in September of 2017, but since then, they’ve been rather private on the matter.
Even now, well into her ninth month of pregnancy, Kate Middleton has kept the baby’s gender, name, and actual due date a secret. The secrecy surrounding Baby #3 has only increased interest around the baby. Only days away from the perceived due date, people around the world are taking bets on the odds of whether or not the baby will be a boy or a girl.
William and Kate have been hounded regarding the baby’s gender at nearly every event they’ve attended, but they’ve worked hard to keep all things baby-related a total secret. Details regarding the baby’s delivery were accidentally leaked when St. Mary’s staff added a fresh coat of paint to the Lindo Wing. Once photographs were shared online, the hospital confirmed that they were, in fact, the chosen birthing venue for the Duke and Duchess’ third child.
The public went into a frenzy learning that the baby would be born at the Lindo Wing. After all, siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte were born there, as well as dad, Duke William. Since then, however, nothing further has been shared. That is, until Wednesday, April 12th!
While at a football game between Aston Villa and Cardiff City, Duke William was spotted enjoying himself amongst some friends. He was photographed being extremely enthusiastic about the outcome of the game after what was reported to be a “spectacular” game with football star, Jack Grealish, making a game-winning move.
The Duke was so happy with the game’s MVP that he blurted out something very suggestive. He casually joked with fans that he was “going to insist the baby is called ‘Jack!’” Not realizing that the particular name suggested Kate was due with a baby boy, he laughed innocently. Then, all at once, he realized that he may have just spilled major details!
He quickly scrambled with a safe response, “Or Jackie!” However, it was too late.
The Duke’s joke regarding naming his potential son “Jack” has started an online frenzy! While there are some who think Baby #3 is could still be a girl, the odds are much higher for a boy!
The Duke and Duchess have not commented on the Duke’s casual slip-up, although their silence is only even more suggestive! Do you think Baby #3 is a boy?! Let us know in the comments!
