The world knows Prince William as many things: a son, brother, prince, husband, father, duke, and now an earl!

While Prince William is the official Duke of Cambridge around most of the world, it just so happens that his title tends to change when he visits other parts of the world. The Royal dad of three took a trip to Scotland where he’s officially known as the Earl of Strathearn!

People shared that during his time in Scotland, William appeared for several engagements to “honor the contributions of Scots across professions and industries.” While there, he appeared at Edinburgh Castle where his most notable moment on the trip occurred.

Prince William looked dashing as he paid his honor during the Annual Service of Commemoration at the Scottish National War Memorial. He dressed in an official militant uniform- one that he’s never been seen in before.

As soon as photos were taken, they were immediately shared online where fans couldn’t believe the Duke’s title change ensemble! While he’s been seen in official military uniforms, this was a new one that caused fans to go into utter hysteria!

William also met with Professor Richard Henderson. Henderson was presented with a medal for “electron microscopy has resulted in new treatments for several serious diseases and saving lives.” He also won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2017. William also met with accomplished builders who have dedicated their lives to make Scotland a better and safer place for its people.

William will be headed back home to Kate and his three children after one last stop at the National Museum of Scotland. There, he will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the National Health Service with more than 700 guests. Once he returns home to the United Kingdom, he will be known as the Duke of Cambridge again.
