Father Asks the Internet to Send One Unusual Thing in the Mail to Help Save His Son

December 15, 2016

Ben Carter really loves his Tommee Tippee cup.

The 14-year-old of Devon, England, has autism and has exclusively drank from this cup since he was a toddler. He's so attached to this cup that he once required hospitalization for dehydration because he refused to drink from any other cup.

This was alright until they came to a problem: Marc, Ben's father, did some research and found out that this beloved cup had been discontinued.

So Marc, doing what any good father would do, turned to his internet friends for help. The response was overwhelming.

Marc received multiple offers from people all over the world who said they had similar cups they would be willing to send him. He was overwhelmed with gratitude and thankful that so many had helped to spread the word.

Marc then received an even bigger surprise that he never expected. The cup's manufacturer revealed that they had sent some of their staff to the U.S., Australia, France, and Hong Kong on a search for the cup's original mold so that they could recreate this now rare cup.

They followed up with this statement: "We are delighted to confirm that we are able to start production on a run of the original cup, ensuring that Ben has a lifetime supply and that hi family won't ever have to worry about finding another cup again."

As of now, the Carter family is now the proud recipients of 500 more Tommee Tippee cups.

Here is the gratitude video from Marc. "Everyone has been a bit down recently because of what's going on in the world, so it's just nice to know there are so many kind people out there."
