For years, conspiracies surrounding the Loch Ness Monster have had the world a bit leery of the open water. Up until recently, the conspiracy has been just that: a conspiracy. After a recent sighting of an unknown creature in the waters around Ireland, however, it’s sounding more like a reality than a conspiracy.

When a couple of men were out in Lough Foyle, a body of water in The Republic of Ireland, they wondered if they were going to see anything fishy. They had heard the rumors of the Loch Ness Monster, but they weren’t concerned, just intrigued.

The mythical water creature’s name has circulated around for as long as we can remember. The first sighting of the Loch Ness Monster was in 1933 when a Scottish journalist saw a large animal swimming in the Loch Ness, the largest body of water in Britain. The journalist who first spotted the Loch Ness Monster described it a dragon or prehistoric animal. The creature is said to be very large in size with an extensively long and muscular body, two humps, and a long neck similar to that of a giraffe.

In the most recent sighting of the monster, the men that were out on the water in The Republic of Ireland were more than 400 miles away from the original home of “Nessy.“ (the monster’s nickname) Nevertheless, the waters began to rumble and ripple in a mysterious way, and the men had only one thought: Were they witnessing the Loch Ness Monster?

The men were doing some fishing the day they spotted the creature. The weather started to turn stormy, but they continued to fish in hopes that it would clear up. That’s when they noticed a slight commotion to the side of their boat.

The first man who noticed the movement yelled across to other boats, but the men in the other boat couldn’t make out what he was saying. The man continued to yell a warning, but by this point the warning was pointless.

The creature was beginning to surface while the men watched in complete fascination and fear. One man grabbed his camera and began recording the entire scene, for he knew no one would ever believe this story unless there was proof. The men all watched in complete shock. The monster swam near the surface for a good 15 seconds before descending into the abyss. The men all stared at each other in silence, but each had to have been thinking the same thing: “Did we just see the real Loch Ness Monster?”

What do you think?! I’ve never seen anything like this. Give the video a watch and be sure to share your thoughts in the comments!
