For One Family Snow In April Was A Christmas Miracle!

April 18, 2017

It was April 14th, Good Friday, and snow was not on many people's minds in Idaho, well at least not until they looked out their windows that morning! Many people turned to Facebook and Twitter to announce their annoyance with the snow and to wonder what happened to the 60 degree weather they had just been experiencing.

As strange as the snow in mid-April was, for one Idaho family it was a sweet and unexpected surprise. Dale and Jenne Schiffhauer had been planning to celebrate what would most likely be their daughter Alanna's last Christmas that day. Alanna has Neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer and after fighting it and being in remission, it has sadly returned. Now, sweet Princess Alanna has only been given weeks to live.

It seems the snow was for a reason and not only did it snow, but as the family was celebrating they were listening to the radio on 89.5 KTSY and the DJ on air was playing "Winter Wonderland" and it was perfect timing! Little did he know that he was part of a little girl's Christmas miracle! Here are some picture of Alanna's Christmas in April celebration.
