Harry And Meghan Leave Kensington! Now They’re 1 Step Closer To Meeting Baby Sussex

April 04, 2019

Our favorite parents-to-be have said their official goodbye’s to their home at Kensington Palace for the last time.

After a couple years in their quant Nottingham Cottage on the Kensington Palace grounds, they’re getting a major upgrade. The couple moved on April 4th, 2019 Frogmore Cottage at Windsor. The move came as a shock to almost everyone who believed that Harry and Meghan would join their siblings, William and Kate, at Kensington. But as it turns out, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are excited to enjoy a slower pace of life with their first born at Windsor.

The couple’s big move has been a topic of conversation since October after they announced their baby news. After months of renovations, they’ve made the move into their new home just in time for to welcome their newborn this month.

With Baby Sussex due any day now, the couple has crossed off the last of their to-do list before Baby S arrives. With the help of their staff and likely Meghan’s mum, Meghan will be ale to enjoy the last couple days nesting in her new home.

The couple’s previous home, Nottingham Cottage, was Prince Harry’s home for several years. Meghan moved in with him after becoming engaged in November 2017. The quaint cottage is tucked peacefully behind Kensington Palace and offers rich foliage and privacy in a private courtyard. And while it’s served as a wonderful home for the two of them, the soon-to-be family of three is quickly outgrowing the two-bedroom cottage.

Since the couple have officially made the move from Kensington, it’s likely that Meghan will not be following in her royal footsteps by delivering her first born at the Lindo Wing. The Lindo Wing is the famous location where Princess Di gave birth, as did the Duchess of Cambridge. Given that the Lindo Wing is just nine minutes from Kensington Palace, it makes sense Princess Di and Kate would deliver there. Instead, she will likely opt for somewhere closer to home. Several sources that Meghan will deliver her child at the Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey.

We are so thrilled to hear that harry and Meghan have made the move to Frogmore and we hope they get a chance to settle into their home at least a little bit before Baby S arrives. We can’t wait until he or she gets here!
