As they stepped off the plane at the Dublin Airport, just hours after attending the 100th-anniversary celebration of the Royal Air Force, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex looked cool, calm, and collected.
One could hardly tell that the duo had already had a full morning in London before boarding their flight for their historic two-day visit to the Republic of Ireland. Prince Harry looked dapper in his classic blue suit and Duchess Meghan channeled the best of Irish tradition in her emerald-hued frock.
The trip was announced last month via Twitter and on the Royal Family website. “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit Ireland from Tuesday 10th July to Wednesday 11th July. This visit is at the request of Her Majesty's Government.”
"Meghan and Harry have arrived in Dublin, Ireland for their two-day tour, it’s their first foreign trip as a married couple. Busy day ahead for Meghan & Harry: today’s engagements After their arrival at Dublin Airport they will head to Merrion Street with Prime Minister Leo Varadkar. Then They will attend a garden party at The British Embassy."
The website gave details of the visit, including reference to Meghan’s relatives who hail from the Emerald Isle.
"They are looking forward to learning more about Ireland's history and experiencing its rich culture, as well as meeting the people who are shaping the country's future.
“The royal couple will meet both President Michael D Higgins and Taoiseach Leo Varadkar during their relatively short two-day trip.
“They will also visit a number of Dublin's main cultural attractions, including the Irish Emigration Museum, EPIC - where the Duchess will learn about her Irish ancestry.”
We wish Prince Harry and Meghan a safe and enjoyable trip in which they are sure to charm the entire country with their warmth and amiable personalities. And we look forward to seeing more photos from their sure-to-be spectacular trip.
