Ever since Meghan Markle stepped onto the royal scene, the rumor mill has been pumping at full capacity about any and everything royal drama. One of the hottest topics of concern is the relationship between William and Harry.
The famous royal duo has been inseparable since birth and became even closer when their beloved mother, Princess Diana, tragically passed away. They’ve always had one another to lean on in times of difficulty and had the encouragement of the other in times of success and joy.
When Harry met his mate, one would assume that Will would be thrilled beyond belief for him. While we’ll never fully know the truth, we would like to think that’s the case, considering the joy they shared leading up to the wedding.
Over the course of the past year, it’s appeared as though the boys have grown further and further apart, distancing themselves more than ever. The media points the finger directly in the direction of one person: Meghan.
A ‘royal riff’ has been declared, giving the impression that Meghan is pulling them further away and wanting to create a life separate from Will and Kate. Despite the onslaught of rumors from every direction, one close royal insider decided to set the real record straight once and for all.
The insider states, “William and Harry are actually very close at the moment. Working together on the household division brought them together. William was very supportive of Harry’s wants and needs for the new Sussex office and helped [Harry and Meghan] where he could.”
They continued, “It was a great way for them to come together and focus on positive goals. This long-planned move will ensure that permanent support arrangements for the Duke and Duchess’ work are in place as they start their family and move to their official residence at Frogmore Cottage.”
If this news doesn’t put your royally-obsessed heart at peace, I don’t know what will. To know that there was no significant falling out between the two is such a relief. Just like you and me, they have grown and evolved so much and are learning to stand on their own without the other near their side.
