Homeless Man Stood Outside Walmart With A Heartbreaking Sign About His Dog. A Good Samaritan Saw Him, And Changed Both Of Their Lives Forever

February 12, 2018

It often takes one simple act of kindness toward another to leave an impression that would last a lifetime. Wilma Trice was doing some shopping at her local Walmart in Texas when she happened to see a man out of the corner of her eye. He was a rugged homeless man who wore a face filled with heartbreak and sadness.

There was something different about him, and that caused Wilma to take a second look. He was holding a sign and the words touched her to the core. The cardboard sign simply read, “Dog In Pound - Need Help.”

That was all it took for Wilma to see and she knew just what she had to do next. She had a deep love for dogs herself and she could only imagine the devastation and heartbreak he must have been feeling to have his dog in the pound.

She rushed to his side as quickly as she could. She wanted nothing more than to help him get his fur baby back once more. The price to retrieve the dog was $120, which was more than she had with her at the moment.

She immediately called a friend to help with the additional money. Merely two days later, the homeless stranger and his beloved canine companion were finally reunited.

Wilma is a perfect example of how we should treat our fellow man. Little did she know that on that normal trip to Walmart she would have a life-changing encounter. Check out the video, below, to see the full story.
