Horse Gives Birth, But Surprise! There’s Double-Trouble For This Mama

September 11, 2017

A Belgian draft horse gives birth to a baby draft. The newborn is so adorable and tiny, but wait. Surprise! She has not one, but two baby foals. Just four days later, the twins, named Lisa and Fien, are up a running around, and the adorable footage is all caught on tape.

It is extremely rare for any horse to have twins, but even more so for a Belgian draft horse. Belgian drafts are known for being big and strong horses. They are affectionate and kind animals. According to Wikipedia- the Belgian Heavy Draft horse stands between 16.2 and 17 hands. On average the Belgian grows to weigh slightly over 2,000 pounds.

In this adorable video, you will see a little girl approach these babies; the mare and her tiny foals are welcoming and open to the little girl's touches. The foals are enjoying an afternoon of running, jumping, and leaping, as they play in their pasture. Watch the video, below, and see this precious interaction.
