Is There A Scandal Surrounding Prince Harry And Meghan Markle’s Wedding Cake?

March 20, 2018

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding is on the horizon, and new details continue to flood out from the Palace as the day draws nearer. We now have learned the details surrounding the wedding cake, and know everything from the flavor and theme to who has been chosen as the baker for this prestigious cake!

The couple has chosen London-based baker, Claire Ptak of the renowned bakery, Violet Cakes to make them their delightful wedding cake. Claire was born in America, much like Markle, but that isn’t the only connection these two have. When Markle was running her fashion blog, The Tig, she had interviewed Claire!

As for the cake’s flavor and design, it seems the royal cake will be going with a Spring Theme! It will be a lemon elderflower cake with buttercream frosting. The cake will be decorated with real edible flowers that are sure to be nothing short of breath-taking!

The couple chose Claire as their baker because of their shared dedication to the same ideals, such as using organic and sustainable ingredients, as well as the magnificent flavors of her cakes. However, it seems that everything the couple does seems to draw quite a bit of controversy! Some fans of the Royal family do not believe that Meghan Markle is a good fit for Prince Harry, and have been very critical of the choices made for this wedding.

Some believe that this is a political ploy and believe that Claire is using her former meeting with Meghan to gain recognition, while others believe that Meghan is using this situation as a way to remind others of her past as the owner of a fashion blog. The naysayers believe that Meghan is trying to gain favors with people, as they believe she is only marrying Harry for his money and will leave him, so she is trying to build up her reputation.

Do you think there is truly a scandal surrounding the cake, or do you believe that the people are simply reading too much into the announcement of the baker?
