It's All Fun And Games Being A Dad - That Is Until Your Daughter Asks You To Wear A Tutu To Her Ballet Class

What do you do when your eight-year-old daughter asks you to dress up in a tutu and join her in dance class? Well, maybe you don't say yes the first time she asks, but you do say yes the second time, right?

Thanh Tran's daughter, Adriana, asked him if he would be a part of her ballet class for parent night since her mother, Rebecca, is seven-months pregnant. He gave her a little bit of flack at first. "It's one parent with each kid," Rebecca said. "Right away when they said that, she picked her dad."

Adriana's mom, Rebecca, who is due in late January said her husband - who is close with Adriana and regularly plays Barbie dolls with her, irons her school uniforms, and attends field trips – wouldn't have missed the opportunity to make his girl laugh “for all the world."

Tran decided to take it to the next level as he posed with Adriana while wearing a tutu, but not by his choice. His daughter had already planned out the event and wanted her ripped, bodybuilding dad to wear a big, poofy ballerina tutu.
Her dad didn't agree right off the bat, Rebecca recalled. "She just told him he wasn't getting out of it. Right away she told him about the tutu, and he was like, 'Oh my gosh.'"

“He had it on when he walked in the door, he wasn’t very discreet about it,” Rebecca said. “Everyone automatically looked at him, and he was trying not to laugh,” she said. “I think he made a lot of people’s days; he just walked in with it right on.”

“That's definitely her personality; she takes her ballet classes really seriously ... she's trying really hard to do good,” said Rebecca. “It was nice to see her turn around every few moments and start cracking up."

Thanh has gotten a little friendly heat from his clients and friends, but Thanh said he would do it all over again for his daughter and rep his tutu-wearing skills.

“When the baby comes, he'll be even more involved with both kids. Already that's kind of the role that we play. He packs her lunches. He's often the one that takes her to ballet classes," Rebecca said. "He's amazing when it comes to the dad role.”
