You knew it was coming. It was only a matter of time. Now, we hear that a TV movie about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will make its debut this Spring, just in time for the couple’s Royal wedding.
American cable channel, Lifetime, has begun filming the highly-anticipated docudrama in Vancouver, Canada. The working title is, “Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance” and the film is expected to be completed right before the two tie the knot in May of this year.
While this announcement is not ‘breaking news,’ the revelation of who will play the coveted title roles...is!
Just this week it was reported that two relative-unknowns were selected to take on the roles of a lifetime, and bring the story of Harry and Meghan’s whirlwind romance to the small screen.
Meet Parisa Fitz-Henley and Murray Fraser, the lucky performers who will take on the daunting roles that are sure to be scrutinized by not only the public but, most likely, the Royal Family as well.
Fitz-Henley is known for her roles in "Jessica Jones" and "Midnight Texas;" and Fraser can be seen in "The Loch" and "Victoria."
I always have a difficult time accepting anyone impersonating such dynamic and well-known celebrities, but I am also willing to give them a chance.
What do you think of the choices? Will Fitz-Henley and Fraser be able to pull it off? Can they possibly do justice to their real-life counterparts?
Only time will tell. I don’t know about you, but I will be waiting with bated breath for the release of this sure-to-be fascinating production.
