On February 10th, 2019, Jan-Michael Vincent of the 1980s TV show, Airwolf, died. Jan-Michael was 74 years old.
The actor suffered a heart attack at a North Carolina hospital. Following his death, the once heartthrob was cremated. His friends, family, and fans were heartbroken to say goodbye.
Having been a star in Hollywood since the 1960’s, Jan-Michael suffered a dark addiction with drugs and alcohol. While he was once the highest-paid actor in Hollywood at $200,000 per episode of Airwolf, his career took a depressing turn.
In 1986, his show was cancelled due to his addiction. Following the cancellation of his show, he suffered a nearly fatal injection in his leg and ultimately had to have his leg removed. In 2008 and 2012, he suffered two serious car accidents which nearly killed him.
His health continued to worsen and in 2019 while he lived his remaining his in North Carolina. The man who was once the highest paid actor in Hollywood all of a sudden became tragically mortal.
After his death in February, his once loyal fanbase remember him for his glory days. We pray his family are navigating this difficult time with peace. Rest in peace, Jan-Michael Vincent.
