The Hollywood icon, who is famous actress, writer, and former model is opening up about her less than ideal experiences in recent years.
The mega-star, 81, recently interviewed in the British Vogue where she revealed that the last couple years of her life have been filled with health issues.
Having been in the entertainment industry for years, her looks have always been a priority to her. And it wasn’t until recent years that she found herself more interested in her health. The star first hinted at her cancer in straightforward way. She said, “I’ve had a lot of cancer. I was a sun-worshipper. When I have a day off, I frequently go to my skin doctor and have things cut off me by a surgeon.”
In 2016, Jane Fonda arrived at the Golden Globes where she stunned a flowing white gown. She appeared beautiful and radiant- almost as if she was an angel. But while she looked stunning to her fans, she was experiencing something truly life changing.
She confessed, “I get out of the car and I have the strange white dress with all the ruffles? That’s because I’d just had a mastectomy and I had to cover my bandages.” The star had underwent a lumpectomy for breast cancer in 2010, and admitted that her battle with the cancer had been an “ongoing process.”
The Grace And Frankie has also been learning how to deal with whole body hurts' because of osteoporosis- a condition that weakens bones, making them fragile and more likely to break. The star, rather at ease with the reality of her body, shared, “It’s genetic. My father Henry had it, my brother Peter had it. Your cartilage disappears and then it’s bone on bone, and then "ow". But we live in a time where you can just get a new one.”
Apart from her physically ailing body, she referenced her heartache. After three failed marriages and several flings and short term relationships, the actress shared that is done with men. Jane admitted, “I cannot be in a relationship with a man. I had several serious relationships after Ted (her former husband), but I can’t…”
At this stage in her life, Jane is focusing on herself and her children. Which I believe is truly for the better. We are praying for her and her health!
