When a couple of the most beloved alums from the hit television series, Friends, took off on a relaxing vacation, they never could have predicted to have such a frightening catastrophy arise mid-flight.
Jennifer Aniston had been spending the better part of the week with grand celebrations for her 50th birthday by hosting a slew of Hollywood’s hottest names.
Following her party, she and fellow Friends co-star, Courteney Cox, along with eight other friends, decided to extend the birthday celebrations by a girls trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Sounds relaxing enough, right? Well, things didn’t exactly go as planned.
Amid the flight, their private jet had to make an emergency landing in Ontario, California, at the Ontario International Airport. As it turns out, there was a serious malfunction with the jet’s landing gear.
An official statement was released following the emergency: “A Gulfstream aircraft with ten passengers and two flight crew members on board landed without incident at Ontario International Airport (ONT) after experiencing landing gear difficulty.”
The statement continued: “The plane was en route Friday from Los Angeles International Airport to Cabo San Lucas when it was discovered that one of the four rear tires had displaced. The aircraft landed safely at 2 p.m. Friday.”
We are so thankful to hear that the jet was able to make a safe and successful landing! Hopefully, the girls were able to make it to their destination safely without another hitch!
