Amid Continuous Nasty Battlings Between Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie, John Voight Spills The Truth On What We’ve Wondered All Along

March 29, 2019

There’s never anything easy nor pretty about the splitting of a family. This day and age, divorce is more common than ever before, but that doesn’t make it any simpler for those directly involved.

When celebrities endure separations and divorces, it seems as though the difficulty level increases exponentially because their every move is constantly documented, reviewed, and dramatized all for the sake of the media.

This very scenario was the case for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Together, they share six children: Maddox (17), Pax (15), Zahara (14), Shiloh (12), Knox (10), and Vivienne (10). When their nasty split hit the internet, there was no stopping the onslaught of criticism.

Amid the difficulties that accompany situations like this, some (particularly the media!) fail to recognize and consider the feelings of the children involved. Life, as they’ve always known, is being torn apart right before their very eyes.

It seemed as though the Pitt/Jolie gang was put through the wringer with an intensive custody battle. It felt as though it were a fight that would never cease.

Now, months following the swirling drama, Jolie’s father, John Voight, breaks his silence in a way everyone had been wanting to hear.

When asked about his daughter and the children, he responded, “They’re great. They’re growing up. They’re doing very well.”

He continued, “It’s just amazing to have kids and watch them grow. You realize the preciousness of time and how short our lives are really. Kids don’t know that. When they’re young, they think life is endless and they’re always anxious to get to the next age.”

While this situation is anything but ideal for these kids, is wonderful to hear from a very close family member that they’re managing to make it through it all and are continuing to grow and thrive.
