It must be painful for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge that their children will never know the love of their grandmother, Princess Diana. To think she is missing out on so much joy is almost too much to bear. So, who could blame them if they constantly look for ways to pay tribute to the "Princess of Hearts" and sometimes do so in an almost secretive way?
Take for instance the outfit the Duchess chose to wear on the first day of Spring. The press was gushing over how beautiful she looked and how the color was so perfect for the occasion. Nobody mentioned, though, that there may have been another more personal reason why Kate chose the color she did.
All you have to do is look back a few years to see the Princess of Wales in a nearly-identical color, looking every bit as beautiful as the daughter-in-law she never knew but would most surely have loved.
Stylish, as always in her white-trimmed green suit with a matching hat, Diana definitely stole the show on that day so many years ago.
Fast-forward to 2018, and Kate's last appearances before the birth of her and Williams third child: it's almost as if she were letting Diana - and the whole world, for that matter - know that even though the Princess is gone, she is never, ever forgotten.
Even if the tribute is by way of a simple gesture alike emulating her mother-in-law's wardrobe choices.
And we have a feeling that this will happen again, from time-to-time. And we couldn't be happier about it...
