The Duchess of Cambridge showed up at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards stunning the crowd in her Lovely dark green gown but it's not for the reason you might think.
The feministmovement called Time's Up, who wants to bring awareness and hopefully an end to sexual harassment and gender discrimination, and echoes a similar call to action made at the Golden Globes.
The future Queen of England who is pregnant with her third child received some backlash over her dress of choice to the awards. one journalist said it best, "Apparently, she's not allowed to exercise HER feminist right to wear whatever colour dress she chooses."
The royal family typically does not take a public stance on political things and that may be why Kate did not show up in a black dress but a green dress. Though the fact that she is wearing a black sash and carrying a black clutch may be an indication of her subtle support.
