Sometimes when a royal family member goes on tour and gets to meet fans, they unintentionally spill the beans on some well-kept family secrets. Trust a devout fan to catch the slip-up!
Prince William and Kate Middleton recently completed a two-day tour in Ireland where they had the opportunity to meet many of those in their Irish fanbase.
Seeing the Duke and Duchess talk and greet the people there was certainly a sight to behold. One thing that is for certain about these two: they love what they do and they love the people that support them.
These are certainly a few crucial qualities you want to see in the future King and Queen of England!
While stopping in Belfast, one blogger mom named Laura-Ann happened to catch a tidbit of information that had never before been shared by the family - one of the private nicknames!
We know that it’s no secret that there are nicknames used for many in the royal household, but one we’d never heard mentioned before was that of sweet little Princess Charlotte.
Up until this point, we’ve only heard William and Kate refer to her by her original name. Now, we know just what their sweet little nickname for their adorable princess is, and we cannot get enough of it!
When Kate got near Laura-Ann, she instantly spotted her four-year-old son. Kate immediately said, “Hello! What’s your name?” Laura-Ann told her that his name was George. “Hi, George, what a cool name you’ve got and you look very smart in your bow tie. It’s very nice to meet you,” she said.
She then went on to ask how old little George was, and that’s when she dropped Charlotte’s adorable nickname! Laura-Ann excitedly recounted the moment: “...And I said he is four, and she said, ‘Oh, he’s the same age as Lottie’ - she calls her Lottie!”
Is that not the cutest little name you’ve ever heard? While Charlotte is such a classy and timeless name already, knowing her nickname is Lottie is icing on the cake!
