Brilliantly Talented And Beloved Soap Star Tragically Passes After Severe Health Complications. Now, Her Family Is Needing Prayers More Than Ever

News was just released to that on February 23, one of television’s most radiant actresses took her final breath here on earth. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will always be kept alive through her talented work.

Katherine Helmond passed away at her Los Angeles home after battling Alzheimer’s disease. She was a beaming 89-years-old. Helmond made quite a name for herself in the acting department and was nominated seven times for an Emmy award.

She gained a great deal of fame from her iconic role in the hit television series Who’s the Boss? where she played Mona Robinson for eight seasons. She also was a total star in her role in the show, SOAP, where she played Jessica Tate.

Her close colleagues and friends took to social media to post their sincere condolences.

Alyssa Milano tweeted: “Katherine Helmond has passed away. My beautiful, kind, funny, gracious, compassionate rock. You were an instrumental part of my life. You taught me to hold my head above the marsh! You taught me to do anything for a laugh! What an example you were! Rest in peace, Katherine.”

World of Wonder tweeted: “Heartbroken to announce this morning that legendary actress Katherine Helmond has passed away. Known for her iconic roles in Who’s the Boss?, SOAP, and Brazil, she’s been part of our family since hosting our BBC special, Wrinkly Vision. Rest in power, queen.”
