Meghan Markle is only a few weeks into the married life, and she’s continually growing in popularity with fans across the world. She’s living everyone’s fairytale dream, and we can only imagine what spectacular things like in the future for her.
From the moment she became a wife, there have been many things fall right into place for her. She received the official title of Duchess of Sussex, she has made her first event appearance as a married woman, she received her official coat of arms, and now she and Prince Harry are blissfully enjoying a romantic honeymoon getaway.
Now, Kensington Palace has made yet another proclamation concerning the Duchess, and it’s just as glorious as you’d imagine. Because of royal protocols in which the family must abide, they receive many things that other people wouldn’t dare fathom getting.
One thing that every royal has is an official monogram, and now Meghan has her very own. Its delicately designed “M” mirrors her effortless, romantic style and the crown sitting atop the letter is equally as impressive.
These monograms are used primarily within the palace walls but have been seen in the public from time to time. They are typically used as a letterhead for official correspondence.
According to sources: "The crown about the ‘M’ appears to be the one approved by a Royal Warrant of 1917 for the sons and daughters of the heir apparent. It features two crosses patée (a type of Christian cross), four fleurs-de-lys, and two strawberry leaves, though not all of them are seen on the letterhead.”
Prince Harry’s “H” is quite similar in the script but his crown is more masculine and appropriate for someone in his position. While this might seem minuscule in the grand scheme of things, it definitely is one large step forward for the Duchess.
As of now, we must patiently await the grand reveal of Meghan and Harry’s joint monogram. We can only fathom just how elegant it will look! I’m sure Meghan’s love for calligraphy is tremendously peaked seeing her new monogram added to the royal arsenal.
