In November of 2017, Buckingham Palace announced that the wedding of Prince Harry of Wales and Meghan Markle would take place on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

As the world patiently awaits for the couple to wed, talk of the wedding dominates the internet.

The media hasn’t slowed down once with coverage of the Royal Wedding. The details of this particular wedding are intriguing for so many reasons- a prince is marrying an American actress of mixed race, the wedding includes several non-traditional rituals including a speech made by the bride herself and one of the most surprising curveballs- a banana flavored wedding cake rather than the traditional fruit cake.

The latest to come from the coverage is the time of the ceremony; the couple is planning for a high noon wedding. Which means a very early ceremony for those on the West Coast. For Americans, eastern coast viewers will tune in around 7 AM while west coast viewers set an early alarm time for 4 AM.

The ceremony will be officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury and Britain’s most senior churchman, Justin Welby. The service is scheduled to start promptly at 1 PM and to last no longer than an hour.

That means that the Royal couple will be on their merry way in their horse-drawn carriage by 1:15 PM at the latest. This is one of most beloved traditions in Royal weddings because it gives the public a chance to celebrate the new couple just moments after they’ve taken their vows.

After the carriage ride through the main streets of Windsor, Prince Harry and Meghan will make their way back to St. George’s Hall where they will gather with their family and wedding guests.

Perhaps one of the greatest and latest breaking details is that Harry’s family has agreed to cover all of the costs for the wedding! With that in mind, we can only dream of all that’s to come in this wedding!

While the world awaits the big day, we can’t help but wonder how the bride is coping with the very new and exciting season ahead of her. We wish her and Prince Harry the best!
