Beloved American Idol Superstar Engaged Finally After 6 Years Of Dating

July 26, 2018

Country fans and American Idol fan rejoiced this week after 23-year-old music legend got engaged!

Lauren Alaina, the American Idol 2011 runner-up, is over-the-moon to finally announce her engagement to boyfriend of six years, Alex Hopkins.

Lauren announced her happy news after posting a picture on Instagram with the caption: “Being yours forever has a nice ‘RING’ to it. WE ARE ENGAGED, EEEK."

Fans were thrilled to see that the couple had finally become engaged. Alex, Lauren's now fiance, also posted the same photo with the caption, "Ladies and gentleman, may I present to you for the first time, the future Mrs. Lauren Hopkins."

Both Lauren and Alex have large social media fans and often share their personal lives with their fans. People reports that in early 2018, Lauren wasn't sure if she and Alex would get engaged anytime soon, although they were both ready to take the next step. After six years of dating, the only available next step is engagement!

The couple met when they were just 17-years-old. For their four year anniversary, Alex shared the couple's very first email photo taken with a heartfelt caption: "July 5th, 2012 this nervous 17-year-old boy would have done anything to make that pretty girl sitting next to him smile. He could never have imagined that on October 14th he would somehow work up the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend, and for whatever reason, she would say yes. 4 years later she still makes me nervous, and I still do absolutely anything to see her smile. Happy anniversary @laurenalaina. This is just the beginning. I love you."

A wedding date hasn't been set yet but music fans are thrilled to watch Lauren and Alex finally tie the knot! Join us in wishing them congratulations!
