The 2019 Trooping the Color has always been significant, but this year was really special for one very small reason.
On Saturday, June 8, millions of fans tune in to watch the British Royal Family in what is surely the most iconic event of the year: Trooping the Colour.
Trooping the Colour is a century-long tradition in place to honor the monarch’s birthday. Of course, it’s common knowledge the Queen Elizabeth’s birthday is April 21st, 2019, but the traditional offers a way to honor any and all sovereign rulers.
Trooping the Colour is a fabulous way for millions to see the Queen and her massively popular family. It’s a wonderful moment to see some of the most popular royals including the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
But this year, more than the favorite Duke and Duchess or Princess, fans are eagerly awaiting the debut of one very popular royal: Prince Louis Arthur Charles!
This was Prince Louis's Trooping the Colour debut and now that the world has seen him on the Buckingham Palace Balcony, it's impossible not to be obsessed!
At first, the little prince was in his mum, Kate Middleton's, arms. But it was clear that he wanted to be held by his father, Prince William. After a little wiggling in Kate's arms, Prince Louis reached for his dad. As Prince William held him, Louis perfected his balcony wave and lit up everyone's faces. The Prince made sure to make silly faces the entire time on the balcony, which of course his fans loved!
Did you watch Trooping the Colour? If so, who were your favorite royals? I love Trooping the Colour because it gives us all a chance to see the Royal Family together. God bless them!
