Man Fractures His Spine After United Airlines Took Away His Wheelchair

Greg Woienski is a 66-year-old man from Palm Bay, Florida, who was another unfortunate victim of United Airlines uncaring service. On Feb 26, 2017, Woienski went to Orlando International Airport where he was planning on catching a United flight to his father’s funeral. Unfortunately for Woenski, he would not make the flight.

Woenski had noted on his traveler information that he required a wheelchair to move about, but apparently, the airline did not take that seriously. He used an airport-issued wheelchair to reach the airplane, but when he reached the plane he was forced to leave the bulky wheelchair behind to board the plane. Instead of offering to help, or even to retrieve the aisle wheelchair, flight attendants stood by as Woenski fell.

Woenski’s fall caused him to fracture his spine and also caused several other major injuries. Now, he is filing a lawsuit against United Airlines. He is seeking an unspecified amount for his injuries, as they should have assisted him with transporting down to his seat. Hopefully, United will soon get their ducks in a row and understand that their customers are people and animals, living things that are not just numbers. Do you think he should win the lawsuit?

This is a horrible story, and we know that sometimes we need a reminder of the good in the world after a horrible time like this, so be sure to check out the video below!
