The wedding of the century has come and gone, leaving us all completely at a loss for words. The day was everything we could have hoped for and more! The media did an excellent job of showcasing every last detail of the intricately planned day. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle completely radiated with love and adoration for one another. They each vowed to proceed into the rest of eternity in unison, promising to love and cherish the other until death.
Before this glorious, drama-free day unfolded, there were many problems stemming primarily from the bride’s side of the family. Harry’s family, on the other hand, was at a loss for words when it came to how to approach the situation, rendering them near helpless to an extent.
For some time, Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Grant, hit the ground running with as much drama as she could unfold. In her book, Pushy Princess, she tried to spread as many nasty details of Meghan’s life as possible.
Next, her half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr., blasted an open letter to Harry all over the internet, attempting to shield him from what he called “the biggest mistake in royal wedding history.” But this wasn’t the end of it all.
Directly after this whirlwind of events, her father, Thomas Markle Sr., saw it fit to join in on the ruckus. He staged paparazzi photos, with the encouragement of Samantha, to gain him more notoriety and favor in the eye of the public. Shortly after, he fell ill with heart issues and was hospitalized.
Thankfully, the couple managed to make it through the drama with grace and dignity, never throwing spears at the nasty offenders. The wedding was void of any such talk or behavior, and the bride and groom appeared to have put all the negativity behind them once and for all - or so they thought.
Despite tradition, the newlyweds didn’t head off straight for their honeymoon. They stuck around to make their first appearance as husband and wife at Prince Charles’ 70th birthday party where they both looked happier and in love than ever before.
They were planning to jet off to their secret honeymoon destination but, because of Mr. Markle, that might be delayed a bit more. According to a royal insider, the couple has first planned a stop to Mexico to visit Meghan’s father before continuing to their honeymoon. The source states that she’s “been hearing from people close to Meghan and Harry that they’re very keen to do it.”
This stop in Mexico will be Prince Harry’s first time to ever meet his father-in-law, so he was, undoubtedly, very encouraging of the visit. Being the gentle-spirited man that he is, he wants nothing more than to ensure his wife is happy, and her beloved father is healthy as well.
As for now, the rest of the family has had their fill of negative press for a while and will likely lay low. Our hope is that Meghan and Harry will continue on happily, and their families will all join together in unison and love.
