The Royal Wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry is drawing ever closer, and we’re about a month away from their May 19th wedding date! As we get closer to the date, more and more details are being released and we can’t help but love all of the information out there!
We’ve learned everything from the cake flavors to why Meghan was addressed as “Ms.” in the wedding invitations that were sent out. Unfortunately, we’re still stuck waiting anxiously to find out who is making her dress and who all has been invited to the wedding!
One thing that we have just learned however, is that the couple is asking for donations to charities in lieu of gifts for their wedding! They have decided to support seven different charities with causes ranging from military families to the environment and homelessness.
The selected charities include Chiva, Crisis, Surfers Against Sewage, StreetGames, Wilderness Foundation, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, and the Myna Mahila Foundation. The couple hopes that with the attention, these magnificent charities will get a lot of new attention and supporters!
Scotty’s Little Soldiers focuses on helping children who have lost a parent in the military. Chiva supports diagnosed with HIV, Crisis focuses on homelessness, StreetGames is a children’s sport charity, and Surfers Against Sewage advocates for marine conservation.
The Wilderness foundation brings together at-risk teenagers and the outdoors! The Myna Mahila Foundation focuses on educating girls in India about women’s health! Clearly, this royal couple is determined to do anything and everything they can to help, and this is a great first step!
