Meghan Markle Sneaks Subtle Hint Towards Prince Harry But Only True Royal Watchers Noticed

January 30, 2019

The Duchess of Sussex threw a subtle nod at her hubby during one of a first public appearance at the National Theatre in London and it’s safe to say that royal watchers are going into a tailspin.

On January 30th, 2019, Meghan Markle arrived at the National Theatre in London. As one of her four royal patronages, Meghan greeted the staff accompanied by her growing baby bump. The Duchess looked classy in a beige dress and matching blazer.

The soon-to-be mom topped off the look one of her most iconic fashion pieces: her beige pointed-toe shoes are her Aquazzura Matilde crisscross pumps. You may recognize these now adored pumps from the day she publicly announced her royal engagement to Prince Harry in the Sunken Gardens of Kensington Palace on November 27th, 2017.

While Meghan’s ensemble may have been unrecognizable to most, true royal watchers immediately noticed her shoes. The day she was introduced to the world as Prince Harry’s future wife was a day that marked her entire life. And while everyone wears shoes, Meghan’s engagement shoes received major recognition as they helped paint the picture of Prince Harry and Meghan’s relationship.

Meghan arrived at the National Theatre where she was greeted by members of the theatre who working to create a musical version of a Shakespeare play. Having been in the entertainment industry for years herself, Meghan fit right in with the rest of the entertainers.

The Duchess was also lucky enough to catch an adorable performance by primary school children as they performed the play War Horse. As a child, Meghan often participated in plays and entertaining opportunities as she had always wanted to be an entertainer.

According to PEOPLE, Meghan Markle “is a strong believer in using the arts to bring people from different backgrounds and communities together, and this first official visit to The National Theatre will explore the work they do, as well as meeting some of the talented teams and apprentices working behind the scenes.” Her involvement at the National Theatre in London will likely be amongst her most favorited patronages.
