Meghan May Be The Bride But These Royals Are Threatening To Steal The Show, But She’s Not Worried. Here’s Why

May 16, 2018

Kensington Palace has announced the roles the darling duo, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will hold for their Uncle Harry’s wedding in just a few days’ time and we can't be more excited! As expected, the two will serve in the wedding party in a way that is not normally seen in American weddings.

In the U.S., bridesmaids are usually friends of the bride but are all adults. In Britain, they are usually children, much like our junior bridesmaids and flower girls.

For the guys, the groom is served by groomsmen and maybe a ring bearer. In royal affairs, however, there are no groomsmen. Instead, the groom has a best man, but the rest of his party consists of young fellows serving as page boys.

Now we get the official word that, yes, they will be there and we are thrilled! Charlotte as a bridesmaid and George as a pageboy. The two served in similar roles during their Aunt Pippa’s wedding last year so they might be considered ‘seasoned veterans’ of this particular duty.

They are sure to offer sage advice to the other junior members of the wedding party so all goes smoothly for the big day.

As beloved as those two are, they are sure to take the spotlight off the bride and groom - at least during the time they are fulfilling their ‘duties.’ We cannot seem to get enough of the children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and have been looking forward to seeing them in all their wedding finery.

Here is the rundown of the youngsters who will be walking down the aisle on May 19th for the long-anticipated wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle:

Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge (Aged 3); Miss Florence van Cutsem (Aged 3 – goddaughter of Prince Harry, daughter of Mrs. Alice van Cutsem and Major Nicholas van Cutsem); Miss Remi Litt (Aged 6 – goddaughter of Ms. Markle, daughter of Mrs. Benita Litt and Mr. Darren Litt); Miss Rylan Litt (Aged 7 – goddaughter of Ms. Markle, daughter of Mrs. Benita Litt and Mr. Darren Litt); Miss Ivy Mulroney (Aged 4 – daughter of Mrs. Jessica Mulroney and Mr. Benedict Mulroney); Miss Zalie Warren (Aged 2 – goddaughter of Prince Harry, daughter of Mrs. Zoe Warren and Mr. Jake Warren)

Page Boys:

His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge (Aged 4); Master Jasper Dyer (Aged 6 – godson of Prince Harry, son of Mrs. Amanda Dyer and Mr. Mark Dyer M.V.O.); Master Brian Mulroney (Aged 7 – son of Mrs. Jessica Mulroney and Mr. Benedict Mulroney); Master John Mulroney (Aged 7 – son of Mrs. Jessica Mulroney and Mr. Benedict Mulroney)

So, as we wait 'patiently' for the big day - only a few days out - we can let our imaginations run wild, not only about the stunning gown that Meghan is sure to wear, but also about how adorable Prince Harry and Princess Charlotte are sure to look on the day of the wedding.

Let's just hope Meghan doesn't get too jealous of all the attention the tiny duo is sure to garner as they make their appearance at the spectacular royal event.
