One of the most controversial hosts on a rather controversial television talk show has landed herself front and center of the internet for a seriously hilarious reason - whether intentional or not.
Meghan McCain is known for being one of the most dominant and outspoken hosts on The View. She’s joined by other strongly-opinionated women such as Abby Huntsman, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Sunny Hostin.
Meghan has been known to certainly hold her ground, never to let others walk or talk over her when her opinion is at stake.
Thanks to the wonderful world of social media, fans and critics alike have incredibly easy access to these women and can shoot them messages or tweets within a couple of clicks.
One tweet Meghan received as of late has spread across the internet like wildfire - and it’s mainly for her short and witty response.
Denise McAllister is a contributor to The Federalist and, from what we’ve been able to gather pretty quickly, is (or was!) a friend to Meghan. Something on an episode of The View really fired her up, causing her to take to her social media and voice her unbridled opinion.
She posted a link to an article with Meghan’s picture front and center. Along with it, she wrote: “Can someone explain to me the purpose of The View? It seems to me to be a roundtable of delusional mental midgets ricocheting ignorance and lack of emotional regulation.”
This opinion, alone, is enough to ruffle the feathers of any fan of the show, especially those who are hosts on it. As soon as Meghan caught wind of it, she let her have it.
In six words, she instantly coined one of the internet’s most viral phrases. She simply responded, “You were at my wedding, Denise…”
As soon as fans read this, they instantly began flooding the internet with memes containing the phrase as a comeback. It took no time at all for it to go wildly viral, spurring yet another response from Meghan.
When she could have chosen to truly rip into her “friend’s” comment, she chose to keep it short, concise, and rather hilarious. Props to you, girl!
