Beloved Actress Secretly Ties The Knot Years Nearly 10 Years After Losing The Love Of Her Life; Loyal Fans Are In Utter Shock

In Hollywood, it’s difficult to have a sense of privacy; between paparazzi and social media, celebrities can rarely get away with anything. That’s why when Golden Globes winning actress, Michelle Williams, revealed that she had been secretly married, the internet went into total hysteria.

Michelle Williams is best known for her roles in Blue Valentine, My Week With Marilyn, Brokeback Mountain, and Manchester By The Sea and for being the romantic partner of the late actor, Heath Ledger. Michelle and Williams were in a serious relationship and had a daughter, Matilda, 12 years ago.

Heath suddenly died from what fans believe was a drug overdose. After losing Heath, Michelle was left alone to raise their daughter who was only a toddler. Heath’s death was enormous in Michelle’s life. She kept her and her daughter sheltered from the media and paparazzi.

In July 2018, Michelle did an interview with Vanity Fair where she revealed that she was married. Fans were in total shock!

Michelle had married an indie musician, Phil Elverum. Like Michelle, Phil had experience tremendous loss when his wife died from cancer less than two years ago.

Phil has a three-year-old daughter himself. Together, the official family of four lives in Brooklyn where they are raising their two daughters.

In the heartbreaking interview with Vanity Fair, Michelle shares, “I never gave up on love. I always say to Matilda, ‘Your dad loved me before anybody thought I was talented, or pretty, or had nice clothes.” Her relationship with Heath was very special and she makes sure Matilda knows that.
