Finally, the details of Baby Archie’s arrival are revealed!
On May 6th, 2019, the world of loyal royal watchers woke up to the news they had been eagerly waiting for: the Duchess of Sussex was in labor!
The news filled the world’s ears and eyes with an official announcement from The Royal Family Twitter page. The announcement confirmed that Meghan Markle “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex was safely delivered of a son at 0526hrs this morning” and that Baby Sussex- as the world was calling him- weighed 7lbs 3oz.
Fans were thrilled and relieved, but still had so many questions! What would the baby’s name be, what would he look like, and if Meghan had followed through with her plans and had the baby in her home at Frogmore Cottage?
Just 2 days after Baby Sussex was born, he was debuted to the world! Then, just a couple moments after he made his grand debut, he was named; Baby Sussex was officially named Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor. And boy was he a sight for sore eyes.
Then, on May 17th, another mystery of Baby Archie was solved; Archie was born at the private Portland Hospital in Westminster!
Meghan had been rumored to have a home birth, but when Archie’s birth certificate was revealed, it was made clear that he was born at the hospital!
And now just any hospital! The Portland Hospital in Westminster is the same hospital that Prince Harry’s cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, were born at. Also, Harry’s friends, Victoria and David Beckham, welcomed their children at the hospital.
While we’re sad Meghan didn’t get the home birth we all hoped she’d get, we’re happy Archie was safely delivered and that he’s all here now! We can’t wait to see him more!
