Check out the recipe below to see how to make this scrumptious cake.
INGREDIENTS:
1 box yellow cake mix (plus ingredients required)
½ c. coffee
2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
1 ½ c. cold whipping cream
1 tsp. Instant espresso granules
2 tbsp. sugar
DIRECTIONS:
Bake cake according to the package directions. After the cake has cooled, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes throughout the cake’s entirety. In a medium bowl, whisk together cocoa powder and coffee until it is fully incorporated. Whisk in the condensed milk and set mixture aside.
With a hand mixer or stand mixer, mix whipping cream on medium-high speed until it starts to thicken. Add in the espresso granules and sugar. Continue to mix until medium peaks begin to form. Gently fold in about 1 cup of the whipped cream into the coffee mixture. Pour the creamy coffee mixture atop the cake.
Use a spatula to spread the mixture evenly across the cake, ensuring that the mixture seeps into the holes. Gently spread the remaining whipped cream over the top of the entire cake. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving. Cut yourself a slice of cake, pour yourself a cup of Joe, and enjoy!
