From the moment Kate Middleton stepped into the royal spotlight, she was pure perfection in everyone’s eyes. It wasn’t long at all until fans started heavily researching her, her family, and her past.
One thing they instantly clung to - and still do after all these years - is Kate’s younger sister, Pippa. While she’s not quite at the “megastar status” that Kate is, Pippa still gains a great deal of attention from well-wishers and adoring fans all around the globe.
Lately, she’s been receiving more than ever before. When news broke that the 34-year-old was expecting her first child with her husband, James Matthews, the internet erupted with joy. We already know how precious “Middleton” littles are, and the thought of adding one more to the mix is almost more than we can stand!
While she’s been a bit hush-hush during the first part of her pregnancy, she’s finally opening up about her true feelings about motherhood now that she’s entering into her third trimester.
In a column of Waitrose Kitchen, Pippa spills the beans on pregnancy and how she manages to stay so fit through it all. This information is what everyone has been longing to hear all along.
Her number one way to stay fit? Swimming. PEOPLE reports: “From personal experience, I’d confidently say I find it has been the most enjoyable and rewarding form of exercise since I found out I was expecting,” she wrote.
“It’s comforting to know that it’s safe throughout pregnancy and you don’t need to adapt and change too much (unlike most other sports). It’s so good for you that you could swim every day - as long as you don’t overexert yourself - right up until the end of the third trimester,” she continued.
After hearing this, it does make one wonder if she researched all this before becoming pregnant, or if she took some maternity tips from Big Sis Kate.
“I’ve noticed my body change, but through exercise, I feel it’s being strengthened. I’m fanatical about sports and have looked at loads of books and websites on exercise during pregnancy, but have been disappointed by the limited technical information on what you can and can’t do,” she admitted.
She finished off by giving us one of her biggest pieces of advice while keeping fit during pregnancy: “The important thing to keep healthy and exercising during pregnancy is to enjoy releasing energizing through rallying, footwork and working on core strength.”
Now we know the truth on how Pippa stays fit during this monumental season of her life. We can’t wait to hear the official announcement that her little one has been born!
