With all the hoopla over the birth of the new Prince, Louis, just one week ago, it would be forgivable if William and Kate were to let the seventh anniversary of their Royal wedding pass with little fanfare.
But if not for that fateful day in 2011, there would be no fanfare at all! If this beloved couple had not fallen in love and taken the big step of pledging to live their lives together, there would be no “hoopla” either!
And although another Royal wedding is stealing all the headlines leading up to the big day on May 19th, we cannot let the momentous anniversary pass without a mention about the couple from the current generation that started all the hysteria that the world is now experiencing over the Royal Family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will have their day, and the undivided attention of the entire world in just a few short weeks,
But, for now, let’s give a well-deserved shout-out to Prince William and Duchess Kate for having achieved this milestone.
According to People, “Kensington Palace shared an adorable photo from the couple’s 2011 wedding day in which they ride off in a blue convertible, with William at the wheel as his bride waves to onlookers.
The car is adorned with balloons, streamers and a license plate reading “JU5T WED,” with the number five cleverly taking the place of an ’S.”’
“’Seven years ago today – thank you for all the lovely messages on The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding anniversary,’ Kensington Palace captioned the shot.”
Thanks to their wise decision to join together in Holy Matrimony, we have the delightful pleasure of watching William and Kate’s adorable children grow up. Prince George, who arrived in 2013, not only became third in line to the Throne, he also became the Prince of our affection, as his cute antics have charmed us all.
Then in 2015, we met his precious little sister, Princess Charlotte, who has gone on the enchant us all with her engaging personality and her adorable looks. We love the way she makes every appearance her very own.
As the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge begin on their second seven years of marriage, we look forward to continuing our admiration and affection for not only the beloved couple and their first two children, we now can enjoy the growing-up of a third baby, Prince Louis Arthur Charles, whom we have only just begun to love.
