Now Cancer Free Teen with Down Syndrome Was Made Honorary Deputy

October 07, 2016

13-year-old Cade Wegener's greatest dream came true when he was deemed honorary deputy by his local police force. Not only was the teen born with Down Syndrome, but at the time of his honor, he was battling cancer. He had a tumor against his spine and needed a specialized surgery that wouldn't effect any of his nerves.

His father felt they didn't have much hope when faced against these circumstances. When asked how he made it, Cade's father responded, "We're leaning on The Rock. I felt God say, 'Chris, I'm going to heal your son.' We've had a peace about it ever since." Despite the struggles, Cade never failed to have a smile on his face.

Now, Cade is completely cancer free!
