One Startling Detail About Prince George’s Official Birthday Portrait That Everyone Seemed To Miss - Until Now

July 26, 2018

It’s no surprise that traits are strong in the British royal family.

Since Prince William and Kate Middleton have welcomed three children into the world - George, Charlotte, and Louis - the resemblance these children share with their relatives are simply uncanny.

One of the most blatantly obvious similarities is between Prince George and Prince William.

When comparing images of George now and William as a young boy around the same age, their favorings are undeniable.

They both have the same build, blonde hair, and cheeky grins. Recently, a sweet image of George was released in honor of his fifth birthday. In the photo, he’s seen posing against a brick wall with a happy, laughing grin plastered across his face.

What has caused the most chatter online has been his attire worn in the image.

He wore a sweet little white button up shirt with light blue piping on the sleeves and collar and paired it with some navy shorts.

Devout royal followers were quick to notice that this looked incredibly similar to another they’d seen before of Prince William.

According to Harper’s Bazaar: “Prince William wore a version of the outfit during his brother Prince Harry’s christening in 1984, and during a family trip to Venice, Italy in 1985.”

It’s said that William was only around three years old when these pictures were captured, making him just a little bit younger than George is now.

I don’t know about you, but this is one of the sweetest similarities I’ve come across in a long time. I can’t wait to see how much more he looks like his father in the coming years!
