Back-to-school is an exciting time for everyone, students and teachers alike! As a student, you may have first-day jitters and, as a teacher, you need to be prepared for whatever comes your way. Anna Hood, a first-grade teacher at Heard Elementary school in Macon, Georgia, thought she was ready for anything her students might throw at her.
That is until she became suspicious of what could be inside one little girl's backpack. Ms. Hood thought she had seen it all, until she unzipped the bag. What she expected to find was notebooks, pencils, and crayons; what she discovered instead, were two small kittens! The young girl had smuggled her kittens to school in her backpack.
Anna says on her Facebook page that her student told her that she had planned on cuddling with her kitties when she finished her schoolwork. The girl obviously is a true cat lover and even thought of some of the things her kitties would need. The caring youngster put a soft and cozy blanket in there for them and even cat food!
I can't say that I blame her. Who wouldn't want to have kittens with them at school, or maybe even at work? I think everyone could use a kitten cuddle break once in awhile! Think of how much our work-related stress could be reduced! I hope this story made your heart smile like it did mine; what a sweet little animal-lover that girl is!
