Over 8,000 Pounds Of Salad Recalled Due To E. Coli Concerns

Fresh Foods Manufacturing Company based out of Freedom, Pennsylvania, is issuing a voluntary recall of 8,757 pounds of ready-to-eat salad products that they fear may be contaminated by E. Coli! The salad products in question were produced from April 9, 2018 to April 12, 2018.

The products that are being recalled all have an establishment number of “P-40211” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The items in question were only sold in Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.

The recall was announced after the company recieved word from their romaine lettuce supplier that their lettuce was being recalled due to E. Coli concerns. The company is recalling four different products at this time with an expiration date of 4/13-4/16.

The 11.5 oz clear plastic containers of salad labelled “CAESAR SALAD WITH CHICKEN Great to Go” by Market District with a case code of 81571201542. Their 14.4 oz clear plastic containers of salad labelled “CHICKEN AND BACON Great to Go” by Market District with a case code of 81571201541.

Their 14.1 oz clear plastic containers of salad labelled “GARDEN SALAD WITH CHICKEN Great to Go” by Market District with a case code of 81571201543. Finally, their 13.1 oz clear plastic containers of salad labelled “CHEF SALAD WITH HAM, TURKEY, & HARD-BOILED EGG Great to Go” with a case code of 81571201545 is also being recalled.

Please check your refrigerators immediately and dispose of any potentially contaminated products, or return them to the store where you purchased them from.
