In the day and age of the social media craze, it’s more often seen that if a celebrity or big-named actor lands negatively in the news for one reason or another, they’re seemingly ripped to shreds by innumerable people who are all chomping at the bit to throw in their two-cents worth.
For this reason, many celebs try to keep the negative and less glamorous side of their lives from the view of paparazzi and news outlets. Try as they might, though, the news inevitably gets leaked and they’re blasted all over every website and tabloid.
One celeb is facing just that and, due to her current circumstance, is wishing that it wouldn’t end in pure gossip. It was recently reported that the late Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, just checked into a rehab treatment facility.
According to sources, Jackson decided “to take some time off to reboot, realign and prioritize her physical and emotional health.” The source continued, “She checked herself into a treatment facility to aid in her wellness plan.”
Over the years, Jackson has struggled tremendously with self-doubt, self-hatred, and has even made multiple suicide attempts. At a point when she was at her lowest, she told, “It was just self-hatred, low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn’t do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore.”
Hearing someone see themselves in a light like this is undeniably heartbreaking, no matter what your personal opinion is about them. She went on to say she tried to rush growing up, and that cost her a great deal in the long run.
“I was crazy. I was actually crazy. I was going through a lot of, like, teen angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help,” she admitted.
Stories like this seem to be far too common these days and, the more we hear, the more troubled we become. While we are so glad she made the conscious decision to try and straighten her life out, we do hope that while she’s at the facility, she will make a full recovery and be on the path to a happy, long, successful life.
Please keep her in your prayers in the coming months.
